CBM is an international Christian development organisation, committed to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities in low income regions of the world.
CBM has Member Associations raising funds and awareness of disability issues in ten countries worldwide. In lower-income regions of the world, CBM strives to build the capacity of partner organisations. This is all done following proven core values and with more than 100 years of experience in the field of disability.
The founder's values
CBM's work is founded on the core values of Christianity, internationalism, professionalism, stewardship, honest communication and inclusion inherited from our founder, Pastor Ernst Jakob Christoffel.
Member Associations
There are ten CBM Member Associations (MAs) presenting CBM’s purpose and work in industrialised countries.
These organisations form the vital link between persons with disabilities in low income countries and people that have the interest, capacities and resources to help.

Local partners in lower income countries
The emphasis of throughout CBM's work in poorer regions of the world is on local capacity development. This increases service delivery in the fields of healthcare, education, rehabilitation and livelihood development as well as organisational development of partner organisations.
CBM staff
CBM’s achievements to date could not have been accomplished without dedicated and qualified international and national staff that bring their expertise and commitment to serve and empower persons with disabilities and their families.
