Catherine Naughton began her work with CBM in the EU Liaison Office in Brussels in 2005 and in 2011 became Director International Alliances and Advocacy Development. Catherine has worked across CBM in a training/facilitation capacity on disability and inclusive development through CBM’s Global Training Programme, in addition to conducting workshops for senior managers and advisory working groups. She has also a keen interest in developing inclusive practices/methodologies, and was the editor and co-author of a manual on Including People with Disabilities in the Project Cycle Management guidelines of the European Commission.
Catherine completed a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy at University of Dublin, Trinity College. In 2005 she completed a Masters in Public Health at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands with a thesis in the influence NGOs can have on government disability policy.
Having completed 6 years of varied clinical and management experience as a physiotherapist in the UK, working in the public, private and charity sector, Catherine worked overseas in post emergency and development programmes as a project coordinator or consultant in the field of disability and rehabilitation.
