In July 2012, The President of the European Commission, Mr. Barroso, and the EU Development Commissioner, Mr. Piebalgs, visited CBM partner CCBRT and toured the hospital.

On 21 July 2012, in presence of its Patron, Hon. Anne Makinda, CBM partner CCBRT was honoured to receive the President of the European Commission, Mr. Barroso, as well as the EU Development Commissioner, Mr. Piebalgs.
Their visit lasted for an hour and they were shown around various departments of the disability hospital. Patients had prepared a special song, welcoming and thanking the visitors for their ongoing support.
The visitors' words were very praising and this again encourages all colleagues of CCBRT to further reach out to those who need help in the society.
