Ways to income generation
A workshop about Fundraising took place in Dominican Republic from 5 - 8 June, with participants from six local CBM partners, working in Education and Rehabilitation of the blind and/or the deaf, vocational training, prevention of blindness and community based rehabilitation. The workshop was facilitated by fundraising expert Fernando Frydman from Argentina.
Topics, such as donor profile, ways of fundraising, large versus small donations, sustainability and others, were presented to give partners necessary tools to work on sustainability of their foundations. Dominican Republic is a CBM phase out country, with some of the partners having received CBM s support for more than a decade. The workshop resulted to be very dynamic with highly motivated and interactive participants.
