Ta, received three different types of arms from COPE, CBM project partner, is now able to cook and work.
CBM has been working in Laos since 1983 supporting Medical Eye Care through the Ministry of Health. The main focus of CBM support is rehabilitation services, both institutional-based and community-based in remote areas of the country.
What we do
CBM assists strengthening the eye care network at all levels, supporting training for ophthalmic personnel, investing in essential medical equipment, and raising awareness of the community related to eye health. In partnership with the National Rehabilitation Centre. We assist Cooperative Orthotic and Prosthetic Enterprise to strengthen quality and affordable orthopaedic services through the Community-based approach. We support the implementation of the Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) project in Champasak province. CBM supports training for CBR personnel at provincial and community level, awareness raising and other community activities.
