Lars Krause
Programme Development Officer for Afghanistan, Pakistan and Tajikistan
Location: Bensheim, Germany
Lars Krause has been CBM’s Programme Development Officer for Afghanistan, Pakistan and Tajikistan since July 2011. He is responsible for managing and further developing the CBM partner- and project portfolio in this countries and is networking with regional stakeholders and governmental authorities.
After graduating in Political Science (with concentrations in international politics and development policy) Lars worked briefly at the ‘Human Rights Working Group’ of the Green Parliamentary Party in German National Parliament and, subsequently, spent four years in the field of democracy promotion and strengthening civil society in Southeast Asia; working in programme development, communication and advocacy for Heinrich Boell Foundation´s Southeast Asia Regional Office; and for local environmental and human rights NGOs in Thailand.
Back in Germany, Lars worked as a freelance advisor to Heinrich Boell Foundation in Berlin on gender and diversity as a crosscutting task in international programme development. Regarding the interlinkages of disability and development Lars can draw on various experiences of working with persons with disabilities, e.g. as an assistant for persons with physical disabilities in Berlin, at an organisation with roots in the disability rights movement.
