CBM supports projects in remote areas of Thailand. We use expertise from for partners to promote models of inclusive practices in the area of Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR), Inclusive Education and Vocational training for children and young people with hearing and visual impairments and other disabilities. The Regional Office is located in Bangkok.

What we do

CBM works with the National Office for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security & the Daughters of Charity, a local Non-Governmental Organisation to develop National Policy & National programmes in the area of Community-Based Rehabilitation.

In the area of Inclusive education Christian Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King provides a nationally recognised programme for children with visual impairment enabling them to access mainstream education through resource rooms & integrated classrooms in rural areas. Don Bosco vocational training programme provides vocational training for students who are Deaf. Accessible and affordable eye care services for people living in rural areas are still challenging. Working with our partner, this need can be partly addressed with the mobile eye team from the Manorom Christian Hospital.
