Blindness and visual impairment
- International Coalition for Trachoma Control (ICTC) - The ICTC was established in 2004 for the purpose of contributing to the global effort to eliminate blinding trachoma and to advocate and implement the SAFE strategy, endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO).

- Eye Wiki EyeWiki is a single site where ophthalmologists, other physicians, patients and the public can view detailed content written by ophthalmologists covering the vast spectrum of eye disease, diagnosis and treatment.
- Helen Keller International (HKI) is an international nonprofit organisation fighting and treating preventable blindness and malnutrition.
- The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) was established as a coordinating, umbrella organisation to lead an international effort in mobilizing resources for blindness prevention activities. CBM is a member of IAPB.
- The International Centre for Eye Health (ICEH) is a World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre for the Prevention of Blindness. The main aim of the ICEH is to facilitate a reduction in blindness with a particular emphasis on low income countries. CBM is a member of ICEH
- The International Centre for Eye Health (ICEH) provides the Community Eye Health Journal, which is a unique continuing education resource for eye health workers in developing countries. Each issue has an editorial, review articles and updates on a specific theme as well as reports, abstracts, letters and reviews on other themes. Community Eye Health Journal supports the WHO-led VISION 2020 programme through the dissemination of up-to-date information about the priority diseases and strategies identified by VISION 2020. More than 15,000 copies are distributed free of charge to eye health workers in developing countries.
- The International Council for Education of People with Visual Impairment (ICEVI) is a global association of individuals and organisations promoting equal access to appropriate education for all children and youth with visual impairments.
- Optometry Giving Sight is a global campaign in support of the goals of VISION 2020. It is a joint initiative of the World Optometry Foundation (WOF), the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and International Centre for Eyecare Education (ICEE).
- Sight Savers International is an international NGO fighting global blindness. SSI is a cooperation partner of CBM.
- The Right to Sight is a global initiative which aims at eliminating avoidable blindness by the year 2020. It has been launched on the initiative of CBM together with World Health Organisation and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB). Today more than 20 international non-governmental organisations involved in eye care and prevention and management of blindness take part in VISION 2020.
- The World Blind Union (WBU) is a self-aid NGO entitled to speak on behalf of blind and partially sighted persons of the world, representing 180 million blind and visually impaired persons from about 600 different organisations in 158 countries.
Hearing
- Sound Hearing 2030 is an initiative for the prevention and elimination of hearing impairment. Its key function is improving the quality of life of persons with hearing impairment through development of comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable ear and hearing care programs at national and sub national levels
- Deafblind International (DbI) is the world association promoting services for deafblind people. DbI brings together professionals, researchers, families, deafblind people and administrators to raise awareness of deafblindness.
- Hearing International is an international NGO established to work with the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Federation of Otorhinolaryngological Societies (IFOS) and the International Society of Audiology (ISA) and serves as an umbrella organization for individuals, specialists, health-related and academic personnel and NGOs.
- The WHO Prevention of Blindness and Deafness Team (PBD) works with Member States through WHO regional offices to develop strategies for prevention and control of blindness, deafness and hearing impairment.
Physical disabilities
- Global Clubfoot Initiative (GCI) The vision of GCI is that children born with clubfoot should have the opportunity to live a life without disability where they can run, walk and play with their friends and participate fully in society with everyone else.

- Forced Migration Review (FMR) is the most widely read publication on refugee and internal displacement issues. This issue deals with disability and displacement.
- Reuters AlertNet is a humanitarian news network based around a popular website. It aims to keep relief professionals and the wider public up-to-date on humanitarian crises around the globe.
- ReliefWeb is administered by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and provides information on humanitarian emergencies and disasters.

- Enabling Education Network (EENET) was initiated by Save the Children UK, in partnership with UK and international non-governmental organisations, and research institutions. It provides accessible information about inclusion in education.

International organisations
- Rehabilitation International is a worldwide network of people with disabilities, service providers, government agencies, academics, researchers and advocates working to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities.
- The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is an umbrella organisation with governments of 30 market democracies working together to address the economic, social, environmental and governance challenges of the globalising world economy.
