Project: CoRSU – Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services Uganda
Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services in Uganda (CoRSU) is newly established Ugandan NGO. Together with this partner organisation CBM is planning an Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery Rehabilitation Hospital, with comprehensive surgical (medical), identification and referral programme. Simon’s job is to develop this programme, especially the NGO’s infrastructure needed to make the services available to children with physical disabilities. Simon’s job also encompasses Country Coordinator duties. That means Mr. Bridger provides necessary administrative and managerial support to the development of other CBM programmes across Uganda.

Simon Bridger has been working at CBM for over 25 years among other in Sudan, Ghana and Sierra Leone. He had recently re-joined the CBM family after 7 years of service with another organisation.

Simon is married and has two adult children.

CBM President Professor Allen Foster met with World Health Organisation Director-General Dr Margaret Chan, for the WHO's global initiative to eliminate avoidable blindness "Vision 2020: The Right to Sight” on the eve of World Sight Day 2007 at the WHO's headquarters.
