Project: for low vision children, training centre for eye-medical staff.
Susan Bürgi from Switzerland has been in charge of the low vision programme in the south of Kenya since 2002. The programme was launched in 1994.
The programme covers work at the Low Vision Clinic as well as courses for the parents of children with low vision, training for employees of CBM projects in East Africa, and visits to schools for the blind and rehabilitation facilities in Kenya to provide suitable aids to children and young people.
Susan Bürgi is presently undergoing further training in Britain.
