American teacher of the deaf Joe Morrissey has been working for CBM since 1984.
After working as headmaster of several schools for the deaf in Kenya and Uganda, since 2003 he has been Director of Kabarnet School for deaf-blind persons in western Kenya.
As Educational Advisor to schools for deaf-blind persons in East Africa, he is making a major contribution to improving the education and training of visually and hearing impaired children and young people in the region.
