Seward, Dr Michael

Michael is one of three ophthalmologists working at the Lusaka Eye Hospital. He and his colleagues provide clinical and surgical care for the Lusaka area. To be accessible to the most poor, Michael and his team do regular “eye camps,” in the most remote areas of Zambia. In these camps Michael is performing many surgical intervention, especially blindness-preventing cataract surgeries.

Back in his home country, the United States, Michael worked in a private practice as a cornea and refractive surgeon at the Great Lakes Eye Care in St. Joseph, Michigan.

Michael is married to Jannike Seward who is currently finishing a doctorate in special education and hopes to help train teachers in Lusaka.
