American eye nurse Mike Edwards has been working for CBM since 1997. For five years he had been in charge of a blindness prevention programme in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Since 2003, he has been living and working in the Indonesian capital Jakarta. From there he coordinates CBM's nationwide blindness prevention programme in cooperation with the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
