Michael Schüber from Germany has performed several assignments as an organisational consultant on behalf of CBM's largest project, Sagarmatha Choudhary Eye Hospital (SCEH) in Lahan. He supports the Programme Director, Dr Albrecht Hennig, in developing strategies to ensure the sustainability of this highly successful project.
Since 2006, he has additionally coordinated the establishment of the Eastern Region Eye Centre (EREC) in Biratnagar, which is meant to secure the long-term sustainability of SCEH and might develop into a large, comprehensive eye centre.
Michael Schüber has 25 years of experience in international development cooperation, mainly in Asia, and has completed studies in mechanical engineering (Germany), management and information systems (Institute for Development Policy and Management – IDPM - at the University of Manchester, UK).
