The German eye specialist worked for CBM at Acha Tugi Eye Hospital in Bafoussam, Cameroon, from 1999 to 2001. After that she was employed up to July 2005 at the eye department of Kikuyu Hospital in Nairobi/Kenya.
Following her further training in vitreoretinal surgery, Dr Winter has been employed at Lahan Eye Hospital in Nepal since autumn 2006.
