Informationen: The NKST community based rehabilitation (CBR) programme is owned and managed by the Church of Christ in the Sudan among the Tivs (NKST). It is situated at Mkar, a suburb of Gboko, the third largest town in Benue State, with an approximate population of 200,000. The project covers a large area around the town. The same partner owns and manages a large orthopaedic hospital and an eye hospital at the same locality, and the CBR programme transfers patients to these facilities. In addition, the project provides mental health, audiology, and economic integration services. Disabled children are assisted with integration into local schools. This project hosts the National Fieldworker Training Programme that provides training to fieldworkers and other project staff from all over Nigeria.
