| Informationen: | CBM partner local foundation Fundacao Altino Ventura (FAV) in Recife, Northeast Brazil, runs an eye hospital and outreach programmes in the state of Pernambuco. High volume and quality services for the poor are offered, partly supported by the Ministry of Health. CBM has supported the foundation mainly with equipment in order to carry out screening and laser treatment of retinopathy of premature babies in public neonatal units of Recife. In 2005, CBM started supporting the congenital cataract programme and the centre for diagnosis and rehabilitation of blind children with additional disabilities. |
