“We just want opportunities not sympathy. We want them to give us a chance to show them what we can do.”
Henry Wanyoike supports CBM’s work as goodwill ambassador. The blind marathon runner is the current world record holder for the marathon with a time of 2:31.31 hours and two world records for the 5,000m and 10,000m. Henry says: "It's all about determination, commitment and enthusiasm for performance. I am always determined, and want to keep on striving to show the world what Persons with Disabilities are able to deliver and give. Like CBM, I have a heart to help many people. The hope I am giving to others enables me to carry on what I am doing."
