Experience in public sector will be useful in managing CBM change strategy, says Kegelmann

Jurgen Kegelmann, director of finance and business service for CBM, says: “My task is to further increase the efficiency of CBM to make sure that our strategy is fully grounded. I think this can be achieved through clarity and simplification of the basic structures and procedures of the organisation, supported by an effective IT system.”

Following five years’ doctoral specialty in the subjects of differentiation and integration, Jurgen, 42, was working for the public sector municipality of Friedrichshafen when a friend living in Bensheim suggested that with his skills he could apply to CBM.

He looks forward to sharing his expertise to help achieve CBM’s global strategy and develop the CBM family to the next level. “With my skills, I am able to accompany the crucial process of adapting current procedures to the new requirements of CBM,” Jurgen notes.

Through this process, CBM is able to provide the fundamental support that ensures professional and effective services in the field. “Having seen CBM’s project work for myself, I believe that this work will help us strengthen our mandate to reach more people with disabilities,” he adds.

One of the main tasks ahead is to ensure that CBM core values such as integrity remain central to the global organisation. But it’s not all hard work; of course, Jurgen also enjoys spending time with his family. “Its not just finances,” he jokes.
