Merkel testimony as cbm celebrates 100 years

Testimony of endorsement from German Chancellor Angela Merkel:

"cbm has given hope to countless people with blindness and other disabilities and opened to them a better chance of full participation in community life. Pastor Ernst Jakob Christoffel said: "One principle that I have always, and do still, reject is that of judging whether the recipient of the help you offer is worthy or not." This profoundly human recognition of those in suffering as next of kin, regardless of their country of origin or religion, remains to this day the cornerstone of cbm's work."
