Privacy Policy

These data protection guidelines serve to protect your privacy and your personal data. They describe the way in which Christoffel-Blindenmission (CBM) handles your personal information. Since CBM is an international organisation, these data protection guidelines apply worldwide, taking into account the laws and regulations that apply in individual countries.

What use do we make of your data?

CBM will not pass on or sell your personal data to third parties unless obliged to do so by law. The personal data we obtain through your visit to our website will only be used for their intended purpose.

It may be necessary to pass on your data to local CBM member associations. In that case, we will pass on only those data that are necessary to answer your enquiry, and only to CBM member associations. These and CBM's partner organisations will treat your personal data in strict confidence. CBM's data protection guidelines and secrecy agreements also apply to these member associations and partner organisations.

What information do we register?

On some pages of the CBM site, you can make interactive donations, make contacts or request further material. For those purposes we require and register personal data such as your name, address, email address, phone and fax numbers and credit card details. CBM will only use this information to process your enquiry.

How do we protect your data?

To prevent unauthorised access to data or their transfer, and to ensure data integrity and designated use, we have installed physical, electronic and administrative safety mechanisms for comprehensive protection of information in all online processes. When registering or transferring critical data such as credit card details, we additionally employ encryption processes (SSL).

How can you access the stored data?

You are entitled at any time to gain access to the personal data we have stored and to correct it. To view, update, alter or delete your personal data, please CONTACT us.
