Raxaul, District Champaran, Bihar, on the northern most part of the State the main gateway from India to Nepal right at the border. An EHA general hospital. CBM supports the eye department. The population of the catchment area (approx 500,000 in a radius of 50-60 kms) is poor and backward. Services are also accessed by Nepalis living next to the open border. The eye services are essential as no other service providers are available in the proximity. |
