Project Information: Shimla, capital of Himachal Pradesh, 113 kms from Chandigarh. Once a TB sanatorium, this hospital has been changed to a general hospital run by the Seventh Day Adventists. Project conducts eye care services in the needy and sparsely served hill regions to the north of Shimla. Population is scattered, poor and backward. A large number of tribes are nomadic gypsies who move between the mountains and the plains according to the seasons.
