Project Information: Karnal, Haryana, 120 km North of Delhi, between Delhi and Ambala under the Arpana Research Charities Trust. An eye hospital run by a multi-faith Ashram providing eye services within their many community health programmes. They mostly serve the poor and under privileged covering about 40 villages in their catchment. CBM, via COFU, with Lions Club of Germany has expanded the scope of eye services at the hospital.

CBM President Professor Allen Foster met with World Health Organisation Director-General Dr Margaret Chan, for the WHO's global initiative to eliminate avoidable blindness "Vision 2020: The Right to Sight” on the eve of World Sight Day 2007 at the WHO's headquarters.
