Project Information: The ECWA Hospital Egbe has a small eye department with twenty four beds and a well equipped theatre that is attached to a general hospital in the rural area of the vast Kogi State in southwestern Nigeria. Mainly farmers, who are suffering from cataract as well as glaucoma, form the majority of the patients attended. Ophthalmologists from ECWA Eye Hospital Kano have conducted outreach work. A DO ophthalmologist will take up full time eye work at Egbe in October 2006.
