Location: India North, Bhuj (Gujarat)
Project Information: Bhuj, Gujarat, about 30 kms from the airport. Situated in a very remote semi-desert area on the northern district bordering Pakistan. The project is managed by the Diocese of Rajkot and run by many different catholic congregations. The project provides community based rehabilitation services and, in addition, runs three special education schools at Raidhanpar, Bhachau Nakhatrana. Promotes reverse integration in regular institutions with some handicapped children.

CBM President Professor Allen Foster met with World Health Organisation Director-General Dr Margaret Chan, for the WHO's global initiative to eliminate avoidable blindness "Vision 2020: The Right to Sight” on the eve of World Sight Day 2007 at the WHO's headquarters.
