Children
Location: India North, Delhi-New (Delhi)
Project Information: Lajpat Nagar in Delhi, about 20 kms from the International airport. The project is managed by the Society for Rehabilitation Research of the Handicapped. It identifies deaf children at a very early age and assists them to be fully integrated into regular schools. Dr. Prem Victor, the project director is also the Regional AWG AST Adviser. Periodic meetings with the children's parents are organised and they are effectively involved in the education process.

CBM President Professor Allen Foster met with World Health Organisation Director-General Dr Margaret Chan, for the WHO's global initiative to eliminate avoidable blindness "Vision 2020: The Right to Sight” on the eve of World Sight Day 2007 at the WHO's headquarters.
