The CBM supported 10-bed eye department is attached to the ECWA Evangel Hospital, a large general facility located in Jos, the capital city of Plateau State in central Nigeria. A national ophthalmologist is providing medical eye care services as well as outreach to other clinics in Plateau State. In 2004, a partially CBM funded eye outpatients department was constructed. The hospital is a recognized centre for the surgical treatment of Vesico Vaginal Fistula (V V F) patients, who are accommodated in a special unit. |
