Titilagarh, district Balangir, Orissa, about 240 kms from Raipur airport, in the western part of Orissa. Population is predominantly tribal and amongst the poorest in the country. Managed by the Services Centre for the Disabled. The project was the recipient of a CBM-LIONS-BMZ co-funded construction (1998) of the complete eye hospital complex. The area is poor and backward and a large part of the population is migratory. The general area is prone to natural calamities such as cyclones, drought, floods and so on. |
