| Project Information: | Sheikh Sarai, Delhi, 20 kms from the International airport. Venu Charitable Society is the partner. The project is a well established tertiary eye hospital and research centre. Over the years, with assistance from CBM, a ring of satellite secondary eye hospitals was established around Delhi in the States of Uttar Pradesh Haryana. Recently Uttaranchal has also been taken up for provision of comprehensive eye care services in cooperation with CBM the State Government. It also has an eye bank. CBM supports paediatric ophthalmology and low vision services. A tertiary Low Vision Centre is being established by CBM for clinical evaluation, surgical intervention and rehabilitation after provision of assistive devices. The project also runs training courses for ophthalmologists and paramedics. A training hostel has been provided by CBM. |
