This model low vision unit is based at the PCEA Kikuyu Eye Hospital on the outskirts of Nairobi and provides services for low vision clients at that locale. In addition this program provides support to other medical / education / rehabilitation projects within Kenya and the region. A Low Vision Therapist training course has been established in collaboration with the government. |

CBM President Professor Allen Foster met with World Health Organisation Director-General Dr Margaret Chan, for the WHO's global initiative to eliminate avoidable blindness "Vision 2020: The Right to Sight” on the eve of World Sight Day 2007 at the WHO's headquarters.
