Project Description: Prevention of Deafness Programme
for Deaf / Hearing Disabled
Location: India North, Delhi (Delhi)
Project Information: Delhi, about 25 kms from International Airport. Otology services bifurcated as a new project, distinct from eye care services, with effect from 2003. Under the management of the Board of St. Stephen's Hospital. Its focus is on prevention of hearing impairment and audiology and speech therapy. Essential surgical interventions, where required, are carried out. Most of the work is carried out in the large slums in and around Delhi.
