Bareja, Ahmedabad in Gujarat, about 23 kms from main city of Ahmedabad on the Vadodra highway. Already established 25 bedded hospital with two OTs and three OPD units and all major items of equipment. There are four visiting ophthalmologists. CBM support is restricted to consumables, replacement of minor surgical instruments and training. Caters to a population of about 250,000, spread over 32 villages and a population of 300,000 in the immediate vicinity (within 10 kms) of the hospital location. Closely associated with P233, Blind People's Asociation. Good support from local CBR referrals. |
