Location: India North, Ambala (Haryana)
Project Information: Ambala in the north of the State of Haryana, bordering Punjab, approx 250 kms north of Delhi. The hospital was established as a women's hospital in 1883 by missionaries from Philadelphia / USA. Eye work started already in the 70s with the help of CBM and continued till 1997. New partnership envisages to promote prevention of blindness in a comprehensive approach in the State, but also partly covering under-served pockets in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. Partner runs different medical, rehabilitative and community programmes and has established a well-functioning service network.
