Most Common Professions
CBM's primary purpose is to improve the quality of life of the world's poorest persons with disabilities and those at risk of disability, who live in the most disadvantaged societies. Traditionally, CBM concentrated on people with visual disabilities. However, the more appropriate community based approach means that CBM's services as well as its personnel needs have expanded. Presently, the most common professions of seconded staff are:
Most are serving in Africa, but occasionally there are opportunities in the poorer countries of Asia and Latin America.
Your Profile
A CBM co-worker likes a hands-on approach, motivates and leads others and has the ability to deal with frustrations and hardship situations. CBM is looking for creative, innovative people, who serve with passion, patience and determination for the sake of others.
Fluent oral and written English language skills are essential, French, Spanish, Portugese, depending on the country of assignment, are very useful.
You have a university or other equivalent degree, at least 2-3 years professional experience and are prepared to accept a 2-4 year contract.

- community based rehabilitation (CBR) experts/project managers
