Negros Occidental Rehabilitation Foundation Inc. or NORFI started as a community based rehabilitation (CBR) programme modeled on the WHO approach. This CBR programme covers 18 towns and 13 cities in the province of  Negros Occidental and provides a wide range of rehabilitation services including prevention of disability, early detection and intervention, therapy and referrals. The partner runs a rehabilitation complex which houses a physical therapy department, a speech and language therapy department, an occupational therapy department and a prosthetics and orthotics workshop. The centre also provides practicum training to physiotherapy interns.  NORFI is recognized as a WHO collaborating centre for rehabilitation in the country. The partner collaborates closely with the local government unit  which resulted in ongoing funding for trainings, provision of maintenance medicines for persons with psychosocial disabilities, operational and administrative costs. In addition, NORFI works closely with two CBM-supported projects in Bacolod namely Cataract Foundation and Christian Foundation for Persons with Disabilities.
