  • A CBR programme for persons with visual impairment
The NGO 'Fundación Indígena para el Desarrollo' (FUIDE) is located in Riobamba, in the province of Chimborazo, one of the poorest provinces in the country.

The foundation started a blind school  in 1990 and later on started a community based E&R programme for the visually impaired, supported by CBM, in collaboration with a CBM Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) adviser.

This NGO is now focussing on indigenous community development programmes and will implement a CBR project for all disabilities in two parishes of the province.
