Horn of Africa - Meru food distribution - Part 2
Transcript
Linda Mwania (CBM East Africa Communications Officer)
One of CBM's responses to the current situation in the Horn of Africa
has been to step in with immediate food aid.
and today we are with our partner SPARK in the eastern part of Meru
right at the tip of Tharaka district
This area has been very dry area, affected by three consecutive failures of the rains
Food rations are being distributed to families
and a ration of maize and beans and oil
and 'unimix' for children, or for aged persons, is being distributed
this is an ongoing activity and I was speaking to Carol earlier
and she foresaw that this community - if the rains don't come - may need help
for a few months to come.
