African mental health leaders met in Harare from 29-31 August 2012 for a consultation meeting to have their input into the new draft WHO Global Mental Health Action Plan, and to develop a long-term Mental Health Strategy for Africa.

CBM’s Mental Health Advisor Julian Eaton was asked to facilitate the meeting. See his report below.

Organisations with an interest in international mental health are invited to comment on the new ‘zero draft’ of the Global Mental Health Action Plan 2012-2013.
