CBM's engagement in advocacy

Advocating for the realisation of human rights of persons with disabilities is an essential part of the work we do at CBM and it is also part of a wider moment for inclusive development that strives for the active participation and representation of women, men, girls and boys with disabilities.

CBM and Advocacy

Advocacy in CBM takes place in its international office, regional offices, at country level in the countries we work in (with partners and persons with disabilities) and in CBM Member Associations.
  • International Advocacy: CBM’s advocacy at international level focuses on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development  and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and EU policies and budgets.
  • Regional Advocacy: CBM has a number of different regional offices, which include an advocacy focus. Examples of these include CBM’s Asia Central Regional Office and CBM’s South Asia Regional Office.
  • Member Association Advocacy: CBM Member Associations include advocacy in their strategies and programmes.
  • CBM Partners Advocacy
