The aims of CBM's Central East Asia Regional Office are to continuously enhance CBM’s work and coverage in the region, and to support CBM's partners in the region in creating an inclusive environment in which all persons with disabilities enjoy their human rights and achieve their full potential.

CBM's Central East Asia Regional Office covers the Central East Asian region of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam China, Laos and Myanmar from Bangkok, with additional Country Offices in China (Kunming), Vietnam (Hanoi) and Cambodia (Phnom Penh).
Programme areas cover medical eye work, community-based rehabilitation, ear care, physical rehabilitation/prosthetics & orthotics, outreach, schools for children with visual impairment / school for the deaf / teacher training special education and vocational training for people with hearing impairment.

Current priorities
Current priorities include:
- The Avoidable Blindness Initiative (ABI) in focal countries (Cambodia, Vietnam, China).
- A partnership with The National Office For Empowerment For Persons With Disability (under the Ministry Of Social Development & Human Security) for a National CBR programme in Thailand.
