CBM and partner Serango Christian hospital (SCH) are working to ensure that basic needs of people affected by Hudhud in India are met, especially families of persons with disabilities.

Relief supplies for most at risk

CBM is supporting our partner Serango Christian hospital (SCH) to ensure that immediate needs among cyclone Hudhud affected families in Gajapati district of Odisha in India are met.
Relief supplies include food, hygiene kits and temporary shelter support, and focus on the most at-risk families, especially families of persons with disabilities.

Background about the cyclone

Cyclone Hudhud made landfall on India's east coast on Sunday 12 October, with gusts of up to 195 km per hour (over 120 mph).

To ensure that people with disabilities were not forgotten, CBM was in touch with all our partners in the path of the storm several days in advance and during the cyclone itself.
