Launch of the FundaMentalSDG campaign

A CBM-supported Block Printing Unit in Kerala where mental health clients and their carers produce printed cloths for sale.

#FundaMentalSDG is an initiative aiming to include a specific mental health target in the post-2015 development agenda.

Today, members of this community have joined together in a campaign to ensure that mental health is properly considered in the post-2015 development agenda. Dr. Julian Eaton, our advisor based in Togo, has been involved in developing this campaign for inclusion of mental health in the Sustainable Development Goals.

CBM is an active supporter of the growing global efforts to improve access to mental health services, protect human rights, and achieve full social inclusion of persons with psychosocial disabilities. Despite being one of the most significant causes of disability globally, such issues have been ignored and neglected.

We are proud to support #FundaMentalSDG and we encourage others to join this campaign. You can also follow the campaign on Twitter.
