CBM South Africa

CBM South Africa was established in Cape Town in 2011, with the purpose of improving the quality of life for people with disabilities across South Africa.

Its flagship project is the Rural Ability Programme (RAP), which aims to make a meaningful and sustainable difference to the lives of persons with disabilities in remote and rural areas of the Eastern Cape, focused on the villages around Zithulele Mission Hospital.

CBM SA also supports the work of Hope for the Blind, a non-profit based in Modimolle, Limpopo, whose mission is to reduce preventable blindness among indigent patients and an education project to upskill eye surgeons in sub-Saharan Africa.
