Edwin Godfrey holds a law degree from Cambridge University, and has had a long career practising law in the City of London, most recently with the international law firm CMS Cameron McKenna LLP.
He has acted for a wide range of major British and overseas companies, specialising in international corporate and commercial transactions. His professional appointments have included serving on the Council of the International Bar Association’s Section on Business Law and chairing the commercial law committee of the City of London Law Society.
Edwin has also served for many years as a trustee of various organisations relating to disability. Among other current appointments, he is the founding chairman of Purple, an organisation launched in the UK in 2016 with the objective of getting large numbers of disabled people into paid employment. Edwin is married to Helen, has three adult children, and lives in Hertford.
