Charter presents agenda for inclusive humanitarian action

CBM endorses the Charter on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action

The World Humanitarian Summit will take place in Istanbul on 23-24 May, with side events, Innovation Marketplace and an Exhibition Fair.

CBM, together with a number of stakeholders including States, UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs, DPOs, has been involved in advocacy and activities to ensure that the Summit considers disability inclusion and that this topic is properly addressed the outcome document.

The disability stakeholders’ group has developed a Charter on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action that is currently receiving endorsements. As CBM we fully endorse the Charter and will aim to implement it in our humanitarian work.

Stakeholders wishing to endorse the charter should send a formal e-mail confirming the endorsement to Camille Gosselin and Elena Bertozzi.
