At the first General Assembly of the World Hearing Forum (WHF), which took place on 4-5 December, CBM played a prominent role as member of the forum’s steering committee and co-chair of one of four working groups. The theme of the meeting, which took place in Geneva, was Alliance - Advocacy - Action.

This is a personal account by Paew Rattanamongkol who lives in Thailand. Thanks to CBM partner Daughters of Charity, Paew was part of a project to strengthen the rights of persons with disabilities and is now a community leader assisting people with disabilities and improving their social participation at local community levels.

The World Hearing Day is celebrated annually on 3 March. The aim of this day is to raise global awareness among the general public and policy makers about hearing loss and ear and hearing care (EHC).

World Hearing Day is observed annually on 3rd March. For 2021 the theme is “Hearing Care for all: Screen, Rehabilitate, Communicate”.

World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day is being celebrated for the first time on 30 January 2020. CBM joins more than 250 partners around the world in the fight to eliminate NTDs.
