Our approach is tried and tested, with built-in quality assurance systems to ensure effective outcomes. Recent initiatives include:
- Catholic Relief Services (CRS), CHAD:
CBM works with CRS as a joint partner on the Stabilization and Reconciliation (STaR) Project in Chad, providing technical guidance to project staff and implementing partners to embed social inclusion principles across all activities, ensuring that persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups can participate fully. The project is funded by the German Development Bank (KFW).
- Gesellschaft für Nachhaltige Entwicklung mbH (GNE):
CBM delivers a modular course on Inclusive Programming and Budgeting three times a year in partnership with GNE. The course supports participants to apply inclusive design principles across the project management cycle.
- UNESCWA (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia):
CBM partners with UNESCWA to facilitate the regional Arabic Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) Course, supporting capacity-strengthening in disability inclusion across Western Asia.
We previously contributed to the global USAID–IDEA (Inclusive Development and Equitable Assistance) consortium, globally supporting organisations serving marginalised groups to achieve inclusive development outcomes.
- Education Out Loud (EOL):
As a learning partner, CBM facilitated the Social Inclusion in Education Learning Collaborative for Education Out Loud grantees in the Horn East and Southern Africa (HESA) region, supporting practitioners to strengthen inclusive education practices. The partnership also resulted in a lasting product: a self-paced e-learning course on Social Inclusion in Education, developed by CBM for EOL.
