Pakistan trachoma free Jan 30, 2025

Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) can be prevented, controlled, and eliminated. As of December 2024, 54 countries have eliminated at least one NTD, with the WHO aiming for 100 countries to achieve this by 2030. A total of 75 elimination processes have been recognized globally, and seven countries eliminated one NTD in 2024. CBM proudly contributed to the elimination of trachoma in Pakistan that year.

It assesses the roles, capacities, and involvement of OPDs, local NGOs, UN agencies, and donors. While some progress has been made—such as the formation of the Disability Working Group and NHF funding for inclusive projects—implementation remains uneven. The report lays the foundation for future activities to strengthen OPD participation and build sustainable, disability-inclusive humanitarian responses.
