Why the summit matters
The summit will serve as a co-creation and decision-making platform to strengthen CBM’s global partnership ecosystem, ensuring strategic alignment, and translate shared priorities into measurable action.
What makes this summit different from a regular meeting or conference?
The CBM Partner Summit 2026 is more than a convening – it marks the beginning of a new era of collaboration. It serves as a launchpad for strengthened partnerships, where CBM and its partners jointly commit to shared priorities, enhanced accountability, and achieving sustained impact in disability-inclusive development.
What will participants co-create?
Together, CBM and partners will align on strategic priorities for the next 2–3 years, with a strong focus on systems change, sustainability, and scalability. They will develop a shared Partnership Compact, defining roles, expectations, safeguarding principles, ethical standards, and accountability mechanisms.
What decisions are expected?
The summit seeks to achieve the following:
1. Facilitating improved alignment and focus on key strategic priority areas
CBM and partners will jointly reflect and align on key priority areas where collective partnership action can deliver the greatest added value over the next 2–3 years. These priorities will focus on areas where collaboration accelerates systems change, sustainability, quality and scale.
2. Fostering a shared understanding of CBM–Partner Partnership Compact
Participants will endorse, in principle, a Partnership Compact that articulates:
- Shared understanding on vision of key partnership strategic areas.
- Clear, two‑way roles and expectations.
- Non‑negotiable standards on safeguarding, ethics, and accountability; and
- Explicit commitments from both CBM and partners to improve partnership quality
3. Defining clear and realistic commitments:
For each partnership priority area, participants will agree on at least one concrete, time‑bound partnership commitment, with clear ownership and milestones covering the first 6–12 months.
The summit will strengthen CBM’s capacity to deliver inclusive development outcomes by enhancing the effectiveness, alignment, and sustainability of its global partnership network.

How will outcomes be tracked after the summit?
Summit outcomes will be tracked through a structured follow-up framework that converts commitments into actions, milestones, and accountability mechanisms.
The Summit, therefore, is not a standalone event, but the launch of an ongoing partnership strengthening process that will shape CBM’s work for years to come and be embedded into country-level planning, programme design, and partnership management.
